School Dinners

Please find our school menu for your child’s lunch time meal. At King’s Oak Academy  all children are entitled to a Free School Meal under the Universal Free School Meal offer from the government. Sice its introduction we have over the years worked successfully with parents to engage with the school catering team to provide the food for the midday meal.

The school kitchen staff provides a variety of sandwiches on a daily basis as well as the hot meal choice. You are asked to make a menu choice at the start of the term using the form obtained from the front office. We will monitor your child’s eating habits and keep you informed if they need to consider changing from a hot meal to a sandwich meal or vice versa.

We spend time discussing the midday meal offer when we first meet you.

Water is provided throughout the day for your child.

A drink of milk can be offered to your child which is FREE to all nursery aged children and until their 5th birthday in Reception Class. If your child is entitled to PUPIL PREMIUM milk is provided FREE throughout their time at our school. If you need to purchase the milk drink it is £1.00 per week and we ask you to pay for each half term at the start of the half term.
